What is your dog’s name, breed and age? We have two dogs that inspired our work with animals. We unfortunately lost one of them on Oct. 31. Amanda, a Lab-pointer mix, was 14 when she passed away. With us is Annie Oakley, a black Labrador retriever, age 9
What is your favorite things about owning a dog? Dogs are the most wonderful companions. They are always there for us. They never judge. They love us unconditionally. They truly are best friends.
What is the craziest thing your dog ever did? Amanda was a master at opening gates. One time she was staying overnight at a doggie daycare. She figured out how to open the gate of her kennel, and then went around opening all of the other gates, letting out all of the dogs. Luckily the dogs were all indoors.
What are the rewards of owning a business related to pets? Out dogs get to go to work with us every day. We also have the opportunity to help pet owners with solutions for issues they may be having with their pets, and then hear the positive results. When people talk about their pets they usually have a smile on their face.
What do you wish more people knew about dogs? Animals are very smart and have very loving souls. Our animals are here to teach us many valuable lessons, if we only listen to them.
